Children's Instructors

Lenore Lyons

Lenore Lyons has been teaching classes through Explore Art! since earning her Master's Degree in Education from Bridgewater State College and her certification to teach Visual Arts K-12. Children have enjoyed her classes in painting, drawing, collage, mosaics, papier mache, illustration, fairy houses and more. As both a classroom teacher and an art teacher, Ms. Lyons encourages her students to use their art skills to enhance school projects. Her classes are fun with lively conversation among children of a variety of ages. With quality materials, instruction and guidance, children make art that they are proud of, which reflects their personalities. Lenore Lyons is a self taught artist. She enjoys creating colorful mosaics and all kinds of printmaking. Her works have been shown in a number of group shows on Cape Cod. She is a member of the Printmakers of Cape Cod and the Cape Cod and Islands Art Educators Association.

Sarah Ahrens

Sarah is a graduate of the University of Vermont in Art Education and has taught art classes on all levels, K-12. She loves to incorporate new ideas into tradiational art projects to challenge and inspire students at all developmental levels. She most recently taught a High School Portfolio Program using a dynamic critiquing technique where students were part of the process. She has also taught private lessons, both for children and for children and their parents.
