"I was drawn by the poetic imagery of the sunstruck glacial boulders, quiet and majestic, bathed in warmth from the broad expanse of marsh grass.  The lively gulls contrast beautifully with big shapes of sky, trees and marsh.
The artist has handled the foreground washes with grace and simplicity. I like the calligraphic suggestion of grass, the rhythm is then repeated along the base of trees and silhouetted foliage edge."
